Doug and Celli Whipple live in Jefferson, Iowa. They are the proud parents of four children. They keep busy with sporting activities with all of their children. Doug has coached his children in all sports and has witnessed the ups and downs of coaching in all of them.

Doug is currently the president of the Greene County Youth Athletic Association in Jefferson. He has coached youth football, baseball and wrestling. His passion is not only for coaching the sports but seeing the kids succeed at what they do. His commitment towards helping the children gain confidence in what they do, shows in his simple rules for the game. Doug likes the kids to have 3 goals at that beginning of any sport season. Doug says, “This is something that gives the young athletes something to work towards”. Doug pushes the kids towards success off the field/mat also. He tells his kids that education comes first. Doug says, “The will to want to improve and get better at anything starts with goals and what you want to achieve”.

Celli is a stay at home mom. She gives everything she can towards the youth in her community. She is Sunday School Superintendent at their family church and teaches pre-k through 4th grade.  Celli says, “There is so much potential in our young athletes. Pushing them away from sports because of bad experiences, will push them away from a lot in life. With this website, we hope to educate youth coaches on how to keep kids from leaving and quitting.”
